Welcome To Spring Semester Dates to Remember & Other Reminders Sophomore Class January 4, 2016

Get Your Planners OUT!! Here are some dates you should have in your planner: January 6 – 13 – Otsuchi students visit FBHS January 26 – WASC visits FBHS January 30 – Senior Ball February 10 – County Career Fair at FBHS Feb. 12 – 19 – February Break (NO SCHOOL!!) February 26 – End of the first grading period (you should have this date in your planner from a previous advisory day) March 21 – Blood Drive at FBHS March 31 - AP/Honors/College Night

Get Your Planners OUT!! April 8 – Spring Carnival April 11 – 15 – Spring Break (NO SCHOOL!!) April 22 – End of the second grading period (you should have this date in your planner from a previous advisory day) May 7 – Junior Prom June 7 – Final Exams (Zero, 1 st, & 4 th ) June 8 – Final Exams (Zero, 2 nd, & 5 th ) June 9 – Final Exams (3 rd & 6 th ) June 10 – Last day of school (Yearbooks distributed)

Use Your Planner Keeping a calendar is a great life skill. Use your planner to help remind you of important events and dates. If you use your phone as your calendar, be sure to enter the dates from these slides into your phone.

ACTIVITIES RECORD Find your Activities Record in your Advisory folder and update it now. Add any Student of the Month Awards you may have earned. Add any clubs or events in which you participated. Add any jobs you’ve held or anything that you would like to remember for senior year paperwork.

REMINDERS Second semester is 21 weeks long! This means that this semester is 5 weeks longer than last semester. Those of you who surpassed the 15 day absence policy last semester better sign up for Saturday School now….it’s going to be an adventure! You have a fresh start this semester. Take advantage of your time and STAY CURRENT with your assignments. When you get behind, it’s SOOOOOOOOOOOO hard to keep up with assignments and make up missing assignments. STAY CURRENT!! Happy 2016!!
