Presentation transcript:

A Mystery Contemporary American artist about whom we know only what we can surmise from her work. She is a realist with training in the classical techniques of handling brush and color and an individualist in her choice of subject matter and tonalities. Her work is forceful, poetic, pleasing to the eye, and emotionally stirring. It is American in feeling and indicates a love of nature in all its aspects and a strong sense of the dramatic.

THE PROJECT

SUCCESS CRITERIA Tear white tissue paper into long strips and twist to make waves. Glue down tissue to white paper with a paint brush. Add watered down blue, green and black paint to make waves. Leave some white areas for white caps. While painting dries, make an origami boat that can later be glued onto painting.
