What to Expect Subject Verb Agreement – Deciding whether or not sentences and verbs “agree” with a sentence. Indefinite Pronouns – Selecting the correct pronoun to refer back to the original noun. Comma Usage – Selecting the sentences that have proper comma placement.

Indefinite Pronouns  Pronouns refer back to a noun stated earlier (or assumed)  Pronouns must: Agree in number, Agree in person, refer to a clearly stated noun  If a student does not wish to participate, he or she probably won’t receive a good grade.  If they don’t want a good grade, they probably don’t want to participate.
