The minimum stand alone application circuit

MIN REQUIREMENTS  TC6000GN-P1 is a fully autonomous GPS module that outputs NMEA on a serial port. TC6000 can perform the reception, GPS processing and NMEA output on a serial line with adding 32,768Hz clock, the antenna, a R/C for reset and a power supply.  Therefore we need only the pins of GPS- RESET, FIX and the TX pins.

GPS DATA PACKET RECEIVED  GPS Data Packet  $GPGLL, ,N, ,E, ,A,A*6F $GPRMC, ,A, ,N, ,E,0.0,0.0,180613,1.2,E,A*3D $GPGGA, , ,N, ,E,1,04,6.7,952.3,M,- 85.2,M,,*40 $GPVTG,,T,,M,0.0,N,0.0,K,A*23 $GPGSA,A,3,32,06,03,11,,,,,,,,,7.8,6.7,3.9*32 $GPGSV,3,1,10,32,58,186,36,23,43,349,21,06,35,098,37,07,15,282,17*7F $GPGSV,3,2,10,01,12,204,17,13,21,330,,03,44,125,45,11,12,186,35*74 $GPGSV,3,3,10,16,47,030,,27,35,113,*7F 

SIZE CONSTRAINTS  But we don’t need the whole NMEA packet as we have a requirement of only the Latitude and the Longitude. Therefore we extract the sentence having GPGLL containing latitude and longitude. We extract the sentence having a L and stopping with *.

OTHER LIMITATIONS  CC4000GPSEM also need about 35s to fix. Therefore the GPGLL extracted before the fix will be empty before the fix. It would be of the type GPGL,,,,. Therefore we also don’t select this empty sentence by location,, together.

MICRONCONTROLLER CONNECTIONS-F5435  We extend the same to F5435 having high pins for GPS RESET, FIX, VCC and low for the ground. Also we use the tx pin to receive the gps data and the rx goes to the UART
