Embroidery

We will need - cloth - colourful threads - a needle

Procedure We cut off a longer piece of thread and pass it through the needle. We take a piece of clothe and begin to embraider different patterns. These patterns are inherited from our mothers or grandmothers or can be found in catalogues.

I have tried it myself!

 When a piece of cloth was embroidered, it could have been used as a towel, decorations for tables and walls. Embroidery is also nice on bed linen and it is most typcal for Slovak national costumes.

 The most common embroidery patterns for walls were flowers, birds and sayings.
