2 Digit Quotients Math Lesson 5-6

Remember back to yesterday’s lesson… 1.What should be your first step when dividing? Why is this important? 2.How do you know that your answer is correct? What should you do?

Today.. 2 Digit Quotients!!!! 1.What do you think the first step should be? Second, third? 2.How is the process of finding a 2 digit quotient similar/different from finding a 1 digit quotient?

Lets try some together… 985 divided by 47= 678 divided by 33=

Independent Practice In your notebook, turn to a clean page and put a proper heading. Please advance to the next slide and complete # ** What two things should you remember to do to help gage your quotients?**

Independent Practice # divided by 76= divided by 23= divided by 63= divided by 18= divided by 48 =

After you have finished.. 1.Check your quotients with Mrs. Sykora. 2.Go to Mrs. Sykora’s website and click on ‘Math and Literacy Extras’. 3.You may complete Math Bingo (choose division and try all 3 levels.) 4.You may also complete Math Man (division). 5.If you have time left over, you can play Math Fact Shoot Out.
