SAT Test Dates October 6, 2012 (at DHSHS) November 3, 2012 (at DHSHS) December 1, 2012 (at DHSHS) January 26, 2013 March 9, 2013 May 4, 2013 (at DHSHS) June 1, 2013

Take the SAT (or ACT) if you plan to attend a 4-year university after high school For SAT, create an account and register at

When to take SAT Tests SAT - end of your junior year and/or fall of your senior year. Colleges accept your scores from senior year for October, November, and December test dates.

SAT or ACT ??? SAT Reasoning has three sections—Reading, Math, and Essay. ACT has five sections-- English, Math, Reading, Science, and an optional Writing test. Either choice, plan to spend about 5 hours on a Saturday morning to take the tests.

ACT Register for the ACT at You will need a copy of your transcript when you are registering so you can fill in all of the classes and grades you have completed during high school. Choose which colleges to receive your score reports when you register.

Fee Waivers Fee waivers are available if you are on Free & Reduced Lunch Program at DHSHS. See your counselor to request a fee waiver, and to register for the SAT or the ACT.

College Placement Exams When registering for the SAT or ACT, be sure you have your test scores sent to 4-year colleges where you apply for admission C.O.D. uses the “Assessment Test” Career colleges have their own placement tests
