Decisions, decisions Teachers make as many as 800 decisions daily! Did this decision increase learning as much as possible?

Reflective Practice: The process of conducting a critical self-examination of your teaching. (Introduced by D.A. Schon in his book The Reflective Practitioner, 1983)

Adapt teaching strategies and models to best meet students’ needs. How can I adapt the lesson… for different developmental levels? to accommodate diversity? to incorporate technology? to increase students’ motivation? to represent the content? to ask guiding questions? to redirect incorrect responses?

Examine decisions and consider changes that can increase learning for all students. Did I… adapt the model to meet the needs of my students? represent the content effectively? keep students’ interest and attention? focus on clear goals? use assessment that matched my goals and learning? give students the opportunity to learn as much as possible?

Be BRAVE and video yourself! Step back outside of yourself and… Reflect, Learn, Change, Grow
