Calvert Trust, Kielder Kielder Water & Forest Park Kielder, Hexham Northumberland

Kit List This list suggests some useful kit to bring with you if you intend to take part in our outdoor activities at Calvert Trust Kielder.  Plenty of thin layers like jumpers, t-shirts and sweatshirts  Comfortable trousers for both outdoors and indoors, like tracksuit bottoms  Money (there is a gift shop, bar and vending machines on site)  Waterproof trousers and jacket  Camera with memory card and batteries  Warm coat, hat and gloves  Torch  Two or three pairs of trainers/comfy shoes  Sun hat, sunglasses and sun tan lotion  Midge repellent  Swimming costume  Personal medication We have some limited supplies of waterproof jackets and trousers, fleeces, small rucksacks and walking boots, available to borrow. All specialist outdoor activity equipment will be supplied.

The Sky Den Tree House The Sky Den Treehouse, created for us by architect and TV presenter George Clarke, is composed of three different shapes that each blend together the best of outdoors and indoors, taking in everything from the red squirrels in the trees around you, to the sweeping river just below.

Abseiling and climbing Conquer our outdoor climbing and abseil tower, or come rain or shine, reach the top and plant your flag on the summit of our indoor climbing wall - King of the mountain.

Aerial Obstacle Course Make your way round the seven elements of the course; do the Elvis walk; scramble over the cargo net and take the leap of faith - high ropes, high !

Canoeing and Kayaking Paddle your canoe or kayak and get close to nature in the sheltered and secluded bays of Kielder Water - have a splashing time !

King Swing Start with a gentle swing alongside a friend and build up to a 10 metres high, 100kph adrenaline fuelled King Swing. For the really brave, go straight to the top and shut your eyes - woohoo.

Golf Buggies Ride around the site and nature trails on one of our 6 seater golf buggies and not a bunker in sight.

Archery Strike Gold with our forest archery range and imagine you are William Tell (apples not included).

Indoor Games Room The indoor games room is perfect for team games, with lots of space for our giant versions of Scrabble, Connect Four and Jenga. You can also find a giant Chess board permanently set up outside.

Calvert Trust Values: Flexible - We adapt and innovate Ambitious - We stretch ourselves and our guests Inspiring - We encourage and stimulate Sensitive - We understand and empathise Imaginative - We see beyond the obvious
