Mrs. Birkenholz  9 th year at Hanna Woods as a 5 th grade teacher  Proud mommy of a 5 ½ year old daughter, McKenna, soon to be 3 year old Drew and 1 year old Mallory  Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Truman State University  Currently working towards Masters in Mathematics with an emphasis in 5 th -8th

Mrs. Kirk  3rd year in the Parkway School District  13 th year in the teaching profession  Proud parent of a 5 year old son, Brenden and 13 year old daughter, Alyssa  Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education grades 1-6 from University of Central Missouri  Certification in Art grades K-9  Masters Degree completion in Multidisciplinary Teaching from Webster University

Snacks  Students are allowed to bring a snack every day, including a water bottle  Please be sure your child is bringing a healthy, quick snack every day (something they can eat within 5 minutes, shouldn’t require preparation or utensils)  Examples: pretzels, graham crackers, granola bars, grapes

Student Planners  Students will be writing their assignments in their planners daily and responsible for bringing them to and from school  Upcoming tests, quizzes, and/or projects will be noted in their planners  Look for upcoming events highlighted in your child’s planner

JA Biz Town  Field Trip: Wednesday, Oct. 19  Parent Training: Monday, October 3  We will need at least 22 parent volunteers the day of the field trip
