STEM What is STEM and what does it mean?

Did You Know?  As you watch the video, write down one interesting or new thing you learned from the video. 

Now You Know That:  _____ out of 25 jobs are STEM related.  What percent of doctorates are in STEM fields are granted to temporary US citizens?  What was one thing that would not be possible without Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics?  What is the common element in the 15 top paying jobs?

Science  Science is the knowledge covering general truths or laws that explains how something happens.

Technology  Technology is the use of resources to meet needs and wants.

Engineering  Using technological and scientific knowledge to solve practical problems.

Mathematics  Math is the study of measurement, properties, and relationships of quantities and sets using numbers and symbols.
