SUNDAY – CLASSIC MASS START

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - COMPETITION Sunday – long distance classic technique mass start —chevron layout, 7 lanes —chip timing for all skiers on lap and finish —timing chips distributed in start area —bib pick-up at race office from 07:30 to 09:00 —course closed at 08:50

COURSE NOTES Saturday —category start times set to allow last PN standing skier to finish before the Open Men are started —in case of slower than anticipated progress, the Open Men’s start will be delayed until the last PN skier has passed the intersection of Trail 4 and Trail 18 —sit-ski track on left will not be scrubbed

COURSE NOTES Sunday —3km course for midget and P-N standing categories —men sit-ski distance increased to 10km —sit-skiers to use left lanes for start, no tracks in scramble zone, use left track subsequently —sit-skiers WILL be on the course when the Juvenile (F) mass start takes place —sit-skiers and PN Standing skiers WILL be on the course when Midget (M) and Midget (F) mass starts take place —Chief of Start will provide instructions to skiers to this effect —Juvenile (F) and Midget (M, F) starts will be delayed if sit-skiers in stadium —3 tracks: Powerline to Montee McCarthy, Charron Jct to JR hill

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - COMPETITION GUIDELINE ON THE USE OF FLUORO GLIDE WAXES FOR MIDGET SKIERS —use of non-fluoro (NF) or low fluoro (LF) glide waxes only —high fluoro (HF) or Medium Fluoro (MF) glide waxes, including HF or MF powders, pucks, blocks, and liquids are NOT permitted —cold weather pcwder additives and hardeners are NOT permitted The adherence to this guideline is self-governed and is the responsibility of the coaches, parents and wax technicians

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - COMPETITION General information —spectators and coaches walk along side of courses and only cross at marshalled stations; respect coaching zones —fluid station at finish —results board in start area —race office hours 07:30 to 16:30 Bibs and chips —no bib, no chip, no race! —bib numbers must be clearly visible front and back and must not be folded or obstructed by long hair —if you find or have to return an assigned bib or chip, please bring it to the competition secretariat —DNF bibs to finish area + identification as DNF to bib collectors
