Question 3 RExcel Analysis

1.Double click on the RExcel2007 icon on your desktop to launch R and Excel

a. Enter the data into an Excel spreadsheet such that each row contains the data for an unique individual

b. Produce numerical summary statistics for the height of all children, irrespective of the groupings

c. Explore the data, stratified by the groupings.

Notice now the variable group is no longer present in the selection box

d. Produce informative figures that will aid the understanding of the dataset.

An excellent way to observe graphical/preliminary evidence of any differences between the groups! No comments can be made if the boxes overlap. Only when two boxes (or more not overlap), can we say there is graphical evidence of a difference between the two (or more) groups

Question 3 SPSS Analysis

1.Double click on the SPSS icon on your desktop or go to START -> All Programs -> SPSS for Windows -> SPSS 14.0

a. Enter the data into an Excel spreadsheet such that each row contains the data for an unique individual
