 Magnification (Def.) – how much the image has been zoomed in on, how much bigger the image is  Eyepiece x Lens Power = Total Magnification  Eyepiece is ALWAYS 10x  Low Power = 4x  Medium Power = 10 x  High Power = 40x TOTAL MAGNIFICATION

 One hand on the base  One hand on the arm CARRYING A MICROSCOPE

 Image moves in opposite direction of slide!  You move slide to the right, image moves to the left (and vice versa)  You move the slide up, image moves down (and vice versa) MICROSCOPE IMAGE
