Behaviors  Goal of the business?  Profit Motive? Use of resources that results in the greatest profits  How can this be a problem?

Unethical Advantages  What kind of examples can you give that are unethical advantages as it pertains to sports? Why are these unethical?

Bad = Profit making???  What are some repercussions to unethical behavior? The following was a total in fines for one year  NBA: $13.9 million  NFL: $3.3 million  MLB: $170,725  NASCAR: $384,495 Not to mention sponsors, fan disapproval, etc. Example: Alex Rodriquez What about Entertainment? What controls do they have?

Effective and Ethical  Good decisions are ethical AND effective Right choices for the long-term  What about unethical behavior? With profit as the motive for businesses, managers are under great pressure to achieve success
