2 Bank groups When you create records for new banks in Axapta, information on the bank’s address is stored along with other information on the bank group. When you indicate which bank an account is associated with, the bank’s address is automatically copied to the account Bank > Setup > Bank groups

3 Exercise You’ve just opened BCA accounts. In order to group future BCA accounts you create BCA bank groups with the following details Currency : EUR Descriptions: Bank BCA Address: Jl. Jend. S. Parman Kav 12,Jakarta Barat, Indonesia

4 Bank transaction types Transaction types are used to group transactions in a bank account. If the bank also reports transactions on its account statement, a summation of the transactions types can be used for summary reconciliation Bank > Setup > Transaction types

5 Bank transaction group Use bank transaction groups to group the different bank transaction types that you have created. This grouping is used in connection with bank reconciliation and allows you to see the total amount and transactions for the group. On the Types page, you attach the bank transactio types that you want to associate with the group Bank > Setup > Bank transaction groups

6 Bank accounts This form contains a record for each bank account. Each record contains bank information such as address, currency, check-setup, and other general account information Banks > Bank accounts

7 Exercise Create BCA-EUR (Bank BCA EUR) bank account: Currency = EUR, Account = (Bank BCA EUR, account type = Balance), Bank account number Create BCA-USD (Bank BCA USD) bank account: Currency = USD, Account = (Bank BCA USD, account type = Balance), Bank account number , can transact with more than 1 currency

8 Creating checks You can create checks for each bank accounts that have fixed method. Bank > Bank accounts > Setup > Check layout Bank > Checks

9 Exercise Create check layout for BCA-USD, with the following conditions: Paper length 120 mm Check number method Fixed In the printout, include the following : bank account, bank name, bank number and company name Check form : USA check format Check number created are from to

10 Bank Reconciliation Bank Reconciliation is an important component of the Axapta financial management system. Bank Reconciliation contains the features that allow you to manage cash receipts and disbursements, enter additional transactions that affect balances and automate the reconciliation process Bank > Back accounts > Functions > Account Reconciliation

11 Exercise Create and post the following journal for BCA-EUR 1/1/2006BCA-EUREUR EUR /5/ EUR 100 BCA-EUREUR 100 On 2/2/2006 you receive a bank statement from BCA with ending balance for January 2006 = EUR 895. In that statement there is Interest charges (transaction type = 09). Reconcile!

12 Exercise 1.On August 2, 2005, you received a bank statement no STB0705 from Scandinavian Trade Bank (STB). The bank statement amount is EUR 2,684, Based on the bank statement, there is bank interest charges (transaction type=09) on July 15, Reconcile your company account based on that bank statement 4.Check your bank balance after reconciliation
