What Influences your Health? What Affects your health? Both internal and external factors. For example, you can’t change your height, but you can improve your posture.

1. HEREDITY Is the passing on of traits from biological parents to children. factors include: skin, eye color, hair color, body type and size.

2. Environment Are all living and non-living things that surround you. Includes: you home, neighborhood, school, and the climate you live in.

3. Culture Is the beliefs, customs, and traditions of a specific group of people. Some culture traditions include eating foods that are high in sugar and fat.

4. Media Are various methods for communicating information. They include: t.v., radio, movies, books, newspapers, magazines, billboards, and internet.

5. Family Your family influences your health by there values.

6. Friends They can influence your health either positively or negatively.

7. Schools/Teachers/Coaches What is served in the lunch room. The environment. Discipline Role models
