Arkansas CCSS Implementation Post Summit (October 11, 2011) Launched the design of the strategic plan at the summit and now have fully-developed the plan and made it accessible to all stakeholders Follow-up Summit to be held in the fall via use of technology and public television network Continue to broaden awareness through strategic communications with business and civic groups and parents

Lessons Learned Communication is the key You can’t communicate too much or too often with all stakeholders The message needs to be clear, concise and comprehensive Making the connection with teacher/leader effectiveness and college and career readiness

Summit Impact Clearly demonstrated that much can be done in a short amount of time when working in collaboration with groups such as ASCD to merge national expertise with state-level knowledge base and human capital Promoted statewide efforts of working together to realize shared goals
