Reconsideration/Appeal  Negative recommendation  Can request an appeal by written format  Committee  May appear before the committee in person or via video to provide an oral response and explanation  May supply additional information to explain the areas of weakness in the dossier as identified by the NTT Committee Chair  May bring/include one advocate  Regardless of the recommendation, the dossier will move to the next level unless the candidate requests withdrawal

Reconsideration/Appeal  Negative recommendation  Can request an appeal by written format  Vice Provost of Extension  Usually provided an opportunity to appear before in person or via video to provide an oral response and explanation  Key individual(s) may be asked to participate in the hearing  No other advocates permitted  Provost level  Provost will reconsider and deliver final decision  Regardless of the recommendation, the dossier will move to the next level unless the candidate requests withdrawal

Timeline Oct. 1Candidate provided 1 paper copy and an electronic copy via SharePoint of dossier to supervisor. Nov. 1Supervisors (i.e., Regional Directors, Cont. Ed. Directors) submit letter(s) of recommendation via SharePoint and insert copy in candidate’s dossier (deadline is intended to be midnight the day prior to the stated date. For example: Oct. 1 materials need to be submitted by midnight September 30 th on SharePoint. Hard copy dossier mailed no later than Oct. 1)

Timeline Dec. 1Supervisor places External Review Letters in candidates dossier (Tab VI) and electronically via SharePoint. Completed dossier submitted to NTT Promotion Committee. Program Director letters of recommendation are posted electronically on SharePoint. Hard copy mailed to NTT Promotion Committee (to be included in dossiers). (deadline is intended to be midnight the day prior to the stated date. For example: Oct. 1 materials need to be submitted by midnight September 30th.; hard copy dossier mailed to NTT Promotion Committee no later than Dec. 1 st.)
