Starting a Program   By default, the dock is a glossy ribbon open and located at the bottom of the computer screen contains icons, but can be moved or hidden   Icons: small images that represent programs, folders, files and the trash   The purpose of the dock is to give you a quick and easy access to the most frequently used items on your computer Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac - Illustrated
