Contraceptive Methods for Men Created by: Reynaldo Thomas

Withdrawal  When the penis is remove from the vagina just before ejaculation.  This method is not 100% reliable.  A small amounts of semen can come out just before the man ejaculates.

Advantages  No side effects. Disadvantages  There is no protect from sexual transmitted infections.  Fluid release before ejaculation sometimes contain sperm.

Vasectomy  When the sperm ducts are tied or sometimes cut.  This prevent sperm which is produce by the testis from reaching the semen.  Vasectomy is a surgical method.

Advantages  It is 100% effective  Permanent control Disadvantages  Not often reversible.

Male Condom  This is a strong rubber latex sheath.  The condom is place over an erected penis just before sexual intercourse.  The condom collects sperm.

Advantages  Easy to obtain.  Men generally does not experience any side effects.  Gives you protection from STIs.

Disadvantages  Each condom can only be used once.  Can interrupt love-making.  Reduce the sensitivity of the penis.
