Kyle thirteen ,his sister Beebee ,and their family are going on vacation to the Oregon coast. He and his family have never seen the Pacific Ocean. So this was an exciting trip. They got to there hotel and settled. Then one evening Kyle was to watch Beebee , while his parents were on a yacht for saleman couple of the year.

Then disaster struck. An earthquake hit and caught their hotel on fire Then disaster struck! An earthquake hit and caught their hotel on fire! As Kyle and Beebee rush through the smoke Kyle remembers something. His dad had carefully read a sign that said, evacuation is necessary when an earthquake has struck. Possible sign of a tsunami, head up hill and inland as far as possible.

They help Kyle and Beebee through the first wave, but is there more to come? The people that helped are to tired to move farther inland , so they tell them to move on. As the second wave rolls in Beebee and Kyle wander were the elderly people are they met?

So they run to see if the elderly people are ok , but especially to see were their parents were. They find only the elder man and his wife had died from the second wave. Beebee heads to the food station to get food. While Beebee is doing that, Kyle heads to the search computer to see if he can find his parents. Surprisingly he does! So he meets his parents, and they stay at the elderly mans house until they can get a flight back home. And what was thought to be the best vacation turned into the worst!
