LinkOut is a service of Entrez that allows you to link directly from PubMed and other Entrez databases to a wide range of information and services beyond the Entrez system. LinkOut aims to facilitate access to relevant online resources in order to extend, clarify, and supplement information found in the Entrez databases. About LinkOut® About LinkOut

About LinkOut® & STAT!Ref® For any subscription that has a LinkOut ID configured, STAT!Ref will include its LinkOut ID in any link to PubMed from STAT!Ref. This applies to links in content, typically in reference sections, the PubMed link on the Resources page and the PubMed link under Additional Resources on the Results page. About LinkOut

About LinkOut® & STAT!Ref® In STAT!Ref, there is a new field on the Attributes page of your Subscription Group. The field is "Pubmed Linkout Library Holding Username." STAT!Ref support members can fill out this field for any institution that has a PubMed LinkOut name. About LinkOut

Simply contact your STAT!Ref Account Manager and provide your LinkOut ID* and we can add it to your subscription. This will connect your users with their other holdings registered with PubMed LinkOut. *If you don’t have a LinkOut ID, please see the next slide to order one from NCBI.
