 Ask students to define the word, use a definition they can understand and explain, not necessarily the one from the dictionary

 Depending on the card either:  Characteristics- have students list characteristics of the word  Examples/Non examples-have the students list examples of the term or non examples which could be like opposites to the word  Visual or Illustration of the word
