 Born in England in the year of 1565  Little is known about his early life  His first voyage was in 1607 when he tried to find a water route to Asia. He tried to the same thing Christopher Columbus did but he tried to find a northwestern passage  In three of his explorations England supported his third exploration he found the Hudson river and the Hudson bay and gave so much glory to Holland who supported him on his third journey

 In his first journey he left in spring but still fought a harsh cold journey which led to only exploring small parts of Greenland. He still found good whaling territory.  In his second journey he tried to go east over Russia. But all he found was a group of islands called Navoya Zemlya and a bunch of thick ice.

 In his third voyage he tried to go west over Russia again and found the same thick ice.  This time, he didn’t turn back.  He went east. He discovered what is now known as Nova Scotia.  He went as far South as the Chesapeake Bay and explored what is now the New York Harbor and the Hudson River.  He then returned to the Netherlands.

 Financed by the English again, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean again in  He went back up the Hudson River and made it to the Hudson Bay.  He couldn’t find a passage to the Pacific and was at a dead end.  The ship and its crew became trapped in the Bay by ice and snow.

 By the Spring of 1611, they could travel home again but Hudson didn’t want to give up. He wanted to travel farther west.  That was when his crew mutinied against him. They set him adrift with only 7 other crew members and his son.  Hudson was never seen again.
