Technology Building upon last nights homework, we will investigate how new technology effected the development of Permanent Shelters This was a HUGE development in Early Farming, considering Paleolithic people were nomadic. So far we’ve learned a stable food supply kept people in one place… what about shelter?

First Things First… With your partner you will read the article titled “Villagers Invent New Technologies” Investigate why farmers created new technology to survive Answer with your partner the guiding question at the end. Full sentences! Left Margin Summary Close Reading Skills too!

Next… You and your partner will investigate different types of shelters made by Early Farmers all around the Fertile Crescent You will observe the different features of each shelter Then INFER what some advantages were for these shelters during the Neolithic Age

Finally! Students will read in their History Alive! Text page 28 “Making Permanent Shelters.” How did agriculture effect the development of early “Permanent Shelters?”
