Using A Ready Made Flipchart with ACTIVotes Dawn Hunt

Go to the Promethean Planet website. From here, you click on Resources. Then you can choose Themes, Lesson Plans or Learner Response (specially designed Flipcharts for clickers). You can search for flipcharts on your topic.Promethean Planet

Here in lesson plans, I’ve chosen Math, grades 6-8. The flipchart on slope with the roller coaster looks interesting. You can click on it to preview it.

This is a good slideshow and has ACTIVote questions built in. Click on Download Flipchart. If you are not logged in, it will ask you to do so. Then it will download to your ACTIVStudio application.

The flipchart will open with your menu dashboard on top. You can close the dashboard for now. (To reopen the dashboard click on the main menu, and choose Open Dashboard on the dropdown menu) Note your toolbox is on the right. If the toolbar is in the way, roll it up or down by clicking the center top arrow. Click the forward arrow on the right to go through the pages and familiarize yourself with the lesson and questions.

Here are some of the clicker question screens. Note the toolbar is rolled up in the lower right, you can open it again with the center arrow.

All you need to do for students to respond to the question is click on the ACTIVote icon at the bottom of the toolbox and it turns on and records student’s responses. Students become active, engaged participants when responding with ACTIVotes.
