Beijing preparation for 2008 Department of Transport founded. Infrastructure construction is focus on Metro and light-rail, 30-50Km will be built annually by the end 2008, total length will over 300Km at that time. Hundreds of traffic detectors is installed. Funding for ATMS is RMB 550 million before Funding for ITS will more than RMB 1 billion.
