Sinning is exhausting. Physically, mentally, emotionally Genesis 4:7; Acts 26:14 An encumbrance, an entanglement (Hebrews 12:1) David’s sins wearied himself (Psalm 38:3-8).
Sin causes us trouble, weighs upon our souls. Every sin is a leech, a parasite, a thief.

He is God’s Lamb who takes away sin (John 1:29). Atonement is offered to sinners (Romans 3:25, 26). Sins are remitted in baptism (Acts 2:38; 22:16). An appeal to God for a good conscience (1 Peter 3:21).
His good news transforms the lives of Christians. Freed from sin, they are raised to walk in newness (Romans 6:4). Their minds become renewed (Romans 12:2). They become new persons (Ephesians 4:24).
Jesus will bring the faithful to eternal glory. He will be glorified in His saints (2 Thessalonians 1:8-10). Their living hope results in glory at Christ’s return (1 Peter 1:3-4, 7). They will be in conformity with His glorious body (Philippians 3:21).
