PAWS and Porter Discipline System for

Positive Behaviors at the Forefront Positive Attitude Act Responsibly Work Together Show Respect

Only Four Negatives Are Tracked Negative Attitude Act Irresponsibly Not Working Together Disrespectful

ClassDojo ❏ All teacher Dojo accounts will have the same four positive and negative headings ❏ Each category will count one point

Positive Points... ❏ A student who receives at least one positive point under all four letters will receive a PAW sticker at the end of the week, and progress will be noted on an in-room chart ❏ If a student receives PAWS for a month, he/she gets additional recess time or another reward

Negative Points... ❏ 4 pts=recess detention (walking) ❏ 6 pts=recess det + referral to counselor ❏ 10 pts=recess det + parent conference ❏ 12 pts=recess det + office referral

Everyone In! ❏ Parapros, lunchroom and custodial staff will receive laminated PAWS that they can award students for doing something positive. ❏ Students can turn PAWS in to teachers for one point each - added to a category at the teacher’s discretion

Additional Notes and Concerns ❏ Everyone in the school (except Pre-K) will follow this plan ❏ Students will be informed of this new system in assemblies at the start of the school year ❏ Unified PAWS posters will be in all classrooms, as well as new classroom charts so progress can be monitored

We Need You! The success of this plan depends on all of us: parents, teacher, students and administrators!
