Thinking on a change: The binomial of Music and Technology today From Beatles passing through U2 till Radiohead

Reflection on this change : 2 main assertions: 1 Music is the universal language 2 Learning music means foster creativity express their selves know their selves built self-esteem

Reflection on this change: Three answers to find: 1.How music is changed with technology 2.How the production, creation and distribution of music is changed thanks to technology 3.Which are the impact and the potentiality of the application of Digital technology in music education

First step to answer those questions: Music –Net Portal Musinet was the first Leonardo da Vinci project coordinated by ITC "Deffenu". The aim was to allow students involved in activities related to electronic music, to work together and to access a remote training in addition with training in presence. The Music-net project and its portal have been selected for the European Award of Innovation

Second step to answer those questions: Modem Platform Aimed to produce and share remote music in the transnational virtual communities at its inside. The most important objective of M.O.D.E.M. was to develop a remote collaborative learning environment that allows: - remote production of creative music project made by the use of digital technologies - The creation of an European network of young students from the five countries of the partnership, which uses the work environment designed

Third step to answer those questions: Net- Music Net Music aimed to develop through building a national network a process of dissemination and exploitation addressed to the main actors involved and active in the context of music production and music education (Teachers, students, companies, Universities and Conservatories).

Last steps NETSOUNDS: NETSOUNDS aims to built an European network composed by private companies and public institutions active in the field of music in order: to give different actors - both public and private who act in the fields of music research, education and production - operational tools and knowledge of the educational potentiality of the music/technology binomial to integrate the activities of educational institutes and enterprises, in order to support the innovation of music education within the education and training systems in Europe; to facilitate exchange and sharing of products, knowledge and good practices so as to support the development of this specific and innovative field of research and action
