NATIVE AMERICAN BURIAL GROUNDS Native American cemetery built about 1500 – 2000 years ago There were about 15 circular mounds made They were formed when dirt was used to cover a burial chamber Some mounds were used for over a thousand years and may contain up to 35 people!
