Whole Group Stories Day 1 Day 1 Kelly had a best friend. Her name was Kim. Kim lived across the street from Kelly. The girls waved at each other. Then Kim stopped waving. A tiny round ball appeared in front of Kim's mouth. The ball was a lovely shade of pink. Kim's cheeks puffed out. She was blowing, and the ball grew. It got bigger and bigger. It looked like a growing pink balloon. Kim's eyes got bigger and bigger, too. She looked happy. Kelly watched Kim and the growing balloon. Then something sad happened to the big pink balloon. Pop! Kim had a thin layer of pink goop on her cheeks. Kim was not happy about this. She tried to peel the gooey pink stuff off her face. What a mess! Poor Kim!

Whole Group Stories Day 2 Can you carry your house on your back? Probably not! But a hermit crab can. Hermit crabs live inside old shells. They carry these shells on their backs. Hermit crabs like to live in old sea snail or mollusk shells. First they look for an empty one that is just the right size. Then they move in! Hermit crabs have an exoskeleton that covers the front part of their bodies. This hard covering keeps it safe. Its abdomen and tail, on the other hand, are soft. This is why the crabs must live inside a shell. The shell protects these tender parts of their bodies. There are more than 500 types of hermit crabs. Some live in the ocean. Others are terrestrial. They live on land. While these crabs grow, their shells do not. Soon all hermit crabs outgrow their homes. Then what do they do? The same thing people do! They look for a new and bigger home and move once again! Day 3 Story online Romeo and DroolietStory online Romeo and Drooliet
