RUNNING USA KEYNOTE: PAT WILLIAMS 8 INGREDIENTS TO WINNING TEAMS. 1. Every organization requires outstanding talent. There are three caveats however the talent needs to possess: Are they coachable? Do they possess a “teachable spirit”? Are they willing to learn? Do they understand their role? What kind of a teammate are they? Supportive, collaborative in their thinking. 2. There needs to be outstanding leadership. 7 traits of a great leader: Vision – to they have an understanding of what the target is? They have a “communicating vision”. The ability to make others in the organization care. Provide optimism and hope, which serves as motivation. They have great people skills. They care about others on the their team. They have character. They are competent and credible in their work. They demonstrate boldness. They make decisions. They have a “serving heart”. It’s not about them. 3. Great teams are committed. To each other To excellence To competing. To winning. 4. Great teams have passion. They are genuinely enthusiastic about their work. 5. Great teams are always thinking. What else? Why not? TEAM..Together..Everyone..Achieves..More 6. Great teams are encouraging. They empower each other to be their best. 7. There is respect thru the ranks. Trust. Loyalty. Love. Friendship. 8. Great teams are made of people of character. They have integrity. They take responsibility for their actions. They have a humble spirit.
