Major Body of Water This river is the biggest body of water in North America. Barges can often be seen traveling on this river. Mark Twain loved to write about this river. Over 145 species of amphibians and reptiles and over 260 species of fish live in this river.

Weather and Climates Our weather changes season to season. Winter is very cold, snowy and icy. Fall is cooler but still enjoyable. Spring is a very helpful season in our state because of rainfall. Summers are very hot and humid!
