Human trafficking By Andrew Kaufmann

Causes  Family break down  Abusive relationships  Low risk of prosecution and high profits  Punishment of human trafficking is less than that of drug smuggling  Violence and armed conflict  Poverty and gender bias.  Displacement of the children.

Quick facts  800,000 people are trafficked each year.  80% women and children  There are more than 17,500 people trafficked through the US each year  Charlotte NC has More people trafficked through it than any other city in the US due to easy highway access points from the airport to go in any direction the please.  There are 20.9 million slaves in the world still today.

The Solution. First off we need to find and severely punish sex trafficking profiteers and arrest the customers. But most importantly we must offer a way out to its prisoners. We can then set up self respecting resources to give to the women and men and find good shelter for the children who have suffered from the horrible crime and slowly reassure them that they can live in peace. Like this girl I don’t know her name but she is a victim of the sex slave trade in india her parents were murdered And she was shipped off into the unknown. She is just one of millions of little girls that are involved against her will. does that face look like there’s time to just sit here and do nothing?
