CREATING APPLE ID

Open iTunes, choose Download iTunes

Open iTunes, click on “iTunes Store”

Once iTunes is opened, click on “App Store” at the top

Scroll down and find the heading “TOP FREE APPS” choose an app, doesn’t matter which, as long as it is FREE. I chose ELFYOURSELF by Office Max

Click “Create Apple ID”

Click Continue

Scroll down the page and “check” the I have read.... box, then click Agree

Enter ALL information, and UNCHECK the two boxes at the bottom. Click Continue

Select NONE as your payment type, fill out billing info click Create Apple ID

DOWNLOADING iBOOK AUTHOR

Open App Store

Type “ibook author” into the search box

Click “FREE”

Click “Install App”

Enter your credentials

Connecting iPad to Macbook

Plug into bottom side, gently. Do NOT force

Symbol should face UP to plug into iPad

Plug cord into Macbook, symbol should face up again. Does not matter which USB port you use.

iTunes will open, click Continue

Previewing iBook on iPad from iBook Author

Open iBook Author on your Macbook

Create iBook Content

Open iBook on the iPad

Click Preview

Select connected iPad, click Preview

iBook will open on iPad
