MSSC CPT Current Enrollment - 12 Critical production functions: o Safety o Quality Practices & Measurement o Manufacturing Processes & Production o Maintenance Awareness o SCC provides opportunity to earn a Career Readiness Certification.

NCCER Welding Welding Level 1 – Enrollment 23  Mastery of basic welding skills  Safety  Metal Cutting and fitting  Skills using recognized industry processes Welding Level 2 – Enrollment 12  Builds on Level 1  Physical characteristics and mechanical properties of metal  Gas metal & flux cored arc welding  Interpreting welding drawings Students will be prepared to work in entry-level positions.

NCCER Electrical Apprenticeship Levels 1 to 4  Basic theory and practice of the electrical trade.  Offered in partnership with the Sandhills Association of Electrical Contractors  Taught by NCCER-certified trainers and overseen by a master NCCER trainer  Completion of Level 4 student can test for journeyman’s card. Current Enrollment: Level 1 – 11 Level 2 – 8 Level 3/4 – 7 (4 level 3; 3 level 4)

FUTURE  Second Duke Grant is providing lab equipment for automation technology classes – Industrial Electrical & Electronics/PLC Operation and Troubleshooting.  Newly awarded Golden Leaf Grant and Palmer Foundation Grant will make possible expansion of the Palmer Trades Center to house new Manual and CNC Machining programs.  Future plans are to offer additional CPT classes, new programs in Industrial Maintenance, Manual and CNC Machining, Automation Technology, Robotics, and Integrated Systems.
