What body systems are affected by the plague?

Interesting facts about the Plague

There were so many dead from the disease that they began running out of room to bury them and could not keep up with quarantining the corpses so they began dumping the dead in mass unmarked graves

Some medieval doctors believed bad smells would drive away the plague, and treated their patients with feces and urine. Needless to say, this did more harm than good.

What did the people in that time use to “cure” the plague?
