Out to eat with Leah and Chris at Ethiopian Restaurant at 113 th Street and Eight Avenue (Fredrick Douglas Ave.) in Harlem the night before she left for Las Vegas, 16 Feb 2009

On the subway in NYC, at West 4 th Street, the F Train (to Brooklyn) stopped in the station, and then leaving. The first picture is set for bright lights and has colors wrong, but sharpest.

Amtrak train “Empire State” from Penn Station in NYC to Buffalo. The station pictures are in Albany, N.Y. where they change the engine. My grandfather, Leo Conlin, was a steam locomotive engineer on this line, and the Lake Shore Limited, till he retired in the 1950s, on the New York Central Railway.
