Robert De La Salle was a French nobleman who lived in France.

HE SOLD FUR ALONG A RIVER TO GET MONEY.

He wanted riches and to claim land so he asked France for the money to sail down the Mississippi river, they finally agreed and he was on his way.

When he got there he claimed what is now Louisiana for France.

ONCE HE GOT DOWN HE FORMED A COLONY BY THE GULF OF MEXICO.
