Our Team Our team is called the generators , our team is a 5-8 division, we are from Clarence middle school. Our team consists of a boy and a girl who are trying to create a blade design for a wind turbine that will generate the most amount of energy to power places in need of energy.

Design Brief Problem Statement: The problem we are trying to solve is designing a wind turbine blade to solve the worlds energy problem. We are creating a wind turbine that generates the most amount of energy. Design Statement: I am going to create my blade out of balsa wood and cereal boxes, the balsa wood will be covered be the cardboard overtop of it. we are trying to create blades to produce the most amount of energy.

Design Brief Can use cannot use Constraints (What you can and cannot do/use.): Cardboard -metal Cereal boxes - blades longer Cora gated than 15 in. Plastic Balsa wood Deliverables (What materials and items you need to solve this problem) balsa wood Cardboard ( cereal box ) Can use cannot use

Blade Testing Round 1 Blade Description: great grains blades Blade Material: balsa wood, cereal boxes Blade Length (cm): 41 ½ Trial Number of Blades Tilt Degree Volts Produced Gears Wind Speed 1  3  10 1.67 yes 2 1.65 3 3   15 2.58  yes

Blade Testing Round 2 Blade Description: Blade Material: Blade Length (cm): Trial Number of Blades Tilt Degree Volts Produced Gears Wind Speed 1   4 2 3 2.3

Our Best Test Number of Blades: Geared or Direct Drive: Photo of Turbine Number of Blades: Geared or Direct Drive: Generator Used : Kid Wind Wind Turbine Generator

Our Best Test Wind Speed: Blade Length: Turbine Rotor Swept Area: Turbine Voltage: Resistor Value: 54 ohms
