Source IT System ( LIS) Consumer IT System (Certified * Ambulatory EHR) Pre-Condition: The Source has received an Order from the Consumer (either Manually or Electronically) along with the Specimen. LRI Abstract Model Interactions: 1.The Source has Test Results to deliver and creates the necessary Lab Results Interface Message 2.The Source provides the Lab Results Interface Message to the Consumer(s). 3.The Consumer IT system receives, decipher and validates the Laboratory Results Interface Message 4.The Consumer views and incorporates the information that was provided by the Source Source: Laboratory Consumer: Provider, Patient Hospitals, Organizations, etc. 1 2,34 LRI Test Results Data Minimally required data from Order CLIA Reporting Data Test Results Da Reporting Status – Preliminary, Final, Appended, Corrected and/or Amended Input to LIS Information (Manually or Electronic) Order Information Specimen Information * “Certified” indicates certification by relevant regulatory body (e.g. ONC, CLIA, CAP).
