Grammar Practice Perfect Paragraph – Summary Edition Practice! End Goal – Reinforce grammar and understand how to create a perfect paragraph.

Write the sentence WITH the mistakes. Then, completely rewrite the sentence. Mom said “there is allot of trash in you’re room”. (6)

Mom said, “There is a lot of trash in your room.”

ALWAYS indent. Start with a topic sentence Covers ALL of the important ideas from the text If it is a summary, it must also have the title of the piece and the author Make sure your paragraph fits between 5-7 sentences

After reading and annotating piece, make a list of the five most important ideas from the text. Pretend you are talking to someone who didn’t read the text and you can only tell them five things about it…what would you say? Read over those five ideas and create a topic sentence that covers it all.
