How do you partition a circle into equal shares?

In this lesson you will learn how to partition a circle into equal shares by dividing it into equal parts.

Let’s Review When we talk about equal shares, we mean parts of a whole that are the same size or the same value.

Core Lesson Let’s first think about the word “partition”. partition

A Common Misunderstanding Thinking you can partition a circle at any point and still get equal shares.

Core Lesson The partition lines should cross the middle of the circle The middle of the circle helps you make sure you divide your circle into equal parts.

Partition lines should be equally spaced as you go around the circle. Each line is the same distance apart from each other.

In this lesson you have learned how to partition a circle into equal shares by dividing it into equal parts.
