Chris Duaghtry Chris Duaghtry was on the 5th season of American idol, even though he did not win, he and his band, Duaghtry, have become nationally know for their rock music. Like the Rolling Stones said " Homeboy likes to rock." Chris Duaghtry in know for his vocals and lead guitar. He grew up in North Carolina. When he was young he listened to mainly rock music. Creed Creed, was a grunge rock band in the 90’s, they were the top selling rock band of the decades. Some people however did not like their music and thought they were some new kind of alternative-style Christian band. Metallica Metallica, was a heavy metal band in the 80’s, they were the most influential band of the time. The band is said to be the ones to bring heavy metal back in to the spot light. They were known for there style of metal called thrash metal. Metallica would turn the volume up and go fast to enhance their intricately structured music, by doing so Creed had stared something new in thrash metal. After years of playing thrash metal they continued to change heavy metal with every new song they wrote. Aerosmith Aerosmith, was the most popular hard rock band in the 70’s. They also set the stage for the hard rock and hard metal bands for the next two decades. Aerosmith was popular because of there ability to put ballads of piano and string instruments into their rock music. However their fame didn’t last long, the band fell because of the use of drugs and alcohol. After a few years of struggling with that, Aerosmith had on of the biggest comebacks in rock history, with their new albums selling better then before. The Beatles The Beatles, was a rock band in the 60’s, they were the most influential bands of the time and still are. Even after they broke up in 1970 their music has never not been popular. The Beatles were best at what they did and really knew how to pull the audience into the performance.
