Information About Oceans Over 70% of the Earth is made up of oceans. The oceans contain 97% of Earth’s water supply. Oceans are home to a great diversity of life; including plant life, mammals, fish, reptiles, and invertebrates.

Oceans There are five oceans: Arctic Indian PacificSouthern Atlantic The largest ocean is the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific also has the deepest trench, the Mariana Trench. The smallest is the Arctic Ocean. The Southern Ocean is our newest ocean. It was recognized as an ocean in 2000.
