Lets Go To The Middle Colonies By: Breanna Mr. Boyer

Colonies in the Middle I would like to go to Delaware but the other options are... New York Maryland New Jersey Pennsylvania

Years each was founded New York (1626) Maryland (1634) Delaware (1638) New Jersey (1660) Pennsylvania (1682)

Why they were founded They were founded for… Trade and profits Religious freedom for everybody

Education You will only learn about your religion. Most of the schools are private. Girls can not go to school though unless they are a Quaker.

Fun and games Every Sunday after church everyone went to the “common area”. We can play tag, marbles, hopscotch, and hide-in-seek.

Climate/Geography Delaware has good soil with rivers. The rivers have relaxed and com. The weather is good. They have nice warm summers, but colder winters.

Church/ Religion We must go to church every Sunday. We will be there for the whole day. If you are late or do not show up you better have a good reason why. Church and religion was kind of major.
