Jesus’ Birth

There once was a woman name Mary. Mary was going to be getting married to a man name Joseph. But before they got marred an angel came to her and told her she was going to have a baby. But Joseph didn’t know the Mary was pregnant with God’s son so he was not going to marry her. One night while Joseph was asleep an angel came to him in a dream and told him not to be afraid to marry her, so he did.

After Mary and Joseph got married there was a law that they needed to go town they were from to register so they could be counted. So Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem. By the time they arrived there was no place for them to stay except in a barn with all the animals. Mary and Joseph were so tired the decided to stay in the barn.

That night Mary gave birth in the stable. She had a baby boy just like the angel had told her. Joseph called him Jesus just as he was told.

Later that night outside the city there were some shepherds tending their sheep. Suddenly, the Angels of the Lord appeared to them and told them of Jesus’ birth. They said, “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”

After the angels left the shepherds decided to leave their flocks to find the baby. When they got to the town they found Mary and Joseph, and baby Jesus who was lying in the manger. When the shepherds left they went through the town and told everyone that they had heard and seen.
