How Are Google Maps taken Images? Google Maps satellite Images comes from and taken by many companies like TeleAtlas, DigitalGlobe and EarthSat. Then they sell them to Google or the goverment

Google Maps street view For Street view Google Maps started to put computers in an SUV so they can edit the pictures by taking many pictures along the road and align the photos and stitching them until you have a 360-degree panoramic image. Then they place lasers and cameras even a GPS on the roof of a SUV.

Google Maps off Road One of the ways Google Maps they take pictures off road is the Trike they take pictures of parks, trails, college campuses, and stadiums etc. The Trolley it’s like a really tall robot it's used to take pictures of the inside of buildings like hallways and rooms.
